October 2012 saw a new-look Earl of Beaconsfield when Susie made the change from being a pub regular to being its new licensee. She had been on the lookout for a live music pub that served lovely wine as well as lovely real ales and lagers – and one where women could feel perfectly at ease.
The Beaconsfield has a warm, welcoming interior, with musical instruments adorning the walls and the table-top addition of flowers and candles. There’s a suntrap planted courtyard garden with deck chairs for the summer and an annexe with cosy leather sofas, a billiard table and a swap library. There’s also an Italian pizza oven serving a range of stone-baked pizzas.
Some very nice wines and whiskies plus an ever-changing choice of Cask Marque real ales, draught and craft lagers and ciders and the result is a pretty impressive bar!
A packed weekly calendar sees acoustic and blues jams, open mic nights, DJ sessions, and live guest acts playing everything from jazz to indie to gypsy swing.
The Beaconsfield has it all – including the most lovable pub dogs ever – Smoky Bacon and Scampi Fries!
